Anna Fittler

Certified Practising Speech Pathologist & Clinical Director

A bit about me:

Anna graduated from The University of Newcastle in 2011. After graduating she worked at different hospitals and community health settings within the Illawarra area. She made the choice to move back to the Hunter in 2015 and has never looked back!

Anna has extensive experience working with both children and adult clients and has worked alongside many other professionals including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Audiologists, Dietitians, Paediatricians, school teachers and preschool teachers. Anna enjoys working with clients to improve their communication, literacy and swallowing skills.

Anna is dedicated to ensuring therapy goals are family centred and enjoys building rapport and getting to know all of her clients. She likes to make all her sessions fun and is always on the lookout for exciting new games or rewarding activities to try. Anna strives to make all sessions individualised and monitors therapy outcomes to make sure all of her clients are progressing well.

Anna is committed to professional development and has attended many workshops to further her education and training. She has attended post graduate training workshops on speech sound disorders, neuro-diversity affirming practice, childhood apraxia of speech, early language disorders, preschool and school aged language disorders, gestalt language processors, natural language acquisition, literacy disorders and paediatric feeding difficulties. She enjoys using the knowledge she gains from continued professional development to update therapy plans and improve the outcomes for her clients.

Where I work / clinic:

Fun Fact:

Anna loves being outdoors in the sun with her two young children, often enjoying a ride to the beach, swim or casual game of tennis or volleyball. She enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures but also loves staying indoors curled up with a blanket and good book.
